Circa 1835. An attractive antique print - a view of the castle with visitors and a dog on the path and a gardener with a roller by the wall. Engraved by William Radclyffe (1783-1855) from an original study by the landscape and topographical painter Henry Gastineau.
Originally produced for the part-work series "Wales Illustrated" (London : 1830-1831). Light age related browning of the paper.

We are fortunate to be able to offer this stunning Wedgwood lustre bowl in the Leafrogging Elves design by Daisy Makeig-Jones.
With a diameter of fractionally under 5 inches (12.5cm) it is decorated with a scene of gilded leapfrogging elves on a green and blue ground, black sky with gold stars, pixies and toadstools with gilded rim, gilded pixies and elves at the interior, the foot rim with gilded "Cobble" bead trim, gold-printed Portland mark at the underside with pattern number Z?96?D (not distinct) (Z4968)
Excellent condition - no chips, cracks or crazing. As far as we are able to discern, there is no evidence of any restoration. This is an absolutely exquisite piece for any collection of Wedgwood Fairyland lustre. Note: White marks are light reflection in the photos.

This was introduced in 1989 and was in production until 1993. It was modelled by June and Brian Branscombe and decorated by June Branscombe. This was the first of the larger paperweights.
